New Noodle Bar in Hackney is a small family owned Chinese restaurant. It's a short walk west of from the outlets (Nike, Burberry etc).
It's a small place, a bit dirty, with a ghetto crowd, but cheap food.
I got the Szechuan Chicken. It wasn't a lot, but it was only £4.50. It was fiery hot/spicy.
The beef fried ho fun noodles were decent. It was only £5.
For the price, you can't have huge expectations going in. -

My friend and I were in Hackney to go to some of the outlets and ABQ bar. It started raining, was super cold, so Chinese noodles sounded amazing. It looked like a hole in the wall, not fancy at all kind of place, but sometimes those are the best. We looked at the menu posted on the window, was surprised at how much cheaper it was than expected, and decided to walk in.
We both ordered hot & sour soup, the beef chow fun, and some mushroom and veggies dish. Oh my gosh the hot & sour soup made me want to cry. I love hot&sour and really wanted some soup on this cold day but I could not touch it after one spoon of it. I think it was the dried shrimp inside, it seemed like it was old and stale and that was the only thing I could taste from the soup. I didn't want to waste food or my money but I just could not. My friend barely touched her soup either.. The chow fun was way too salty, couldn't eat much of that either. The mushroom dish was probably the best, that was the only thing I could really eat for a while until both our stomachs started feeling uneasy so we left. Although we barely ate anything they did not ask us how it was at any point, and by the way it is cash only.
